In 1981 Ed Warren (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga) as demonologists decided to do the documentation of the event exorcism of 8-year-old David Glatzel (Julian Hilliard). In Brookfield, Connecticut, in that event participants were an 8-year-old boy’s sister Debbie Glatzel (Sarah Catherine Hook), Debbie’s boyfriend Arne Cheyenne Johnson (Ruairi O’Connor), and Father Gordon (Steve Coulter). In the process of exorcism, Arne was inviting demons to enter his body instead of David’s. Ed has seen the whole process and due to a heart attack, he gets unconscious and taken to a hospital.
