Synopsis: On October 13th, 1972, 45 people boarded Flight 571, traveling to Santiago, Chile from Montevideo, Uruguay. A good portion of the passengers were part of the Christians Club rugby team, excited to be traveling for competition and to enjoy different social opportunities with friends and family. While expecting to land in a matter of minutes while flying over the Andes Mountains, a pilot error resulted in a crash, sending the plane into the rocks and snow. 33 people survived the disaster, but the horror of the event was just beginning. Numa is a member of the team, initially reluctant to join the flight, becoming a witness to the organization of life as the men and women slowly worked through their shock, realizing that rescue wasn’t going to come anytime soon, if at all. Searching for anything to protect them from the elements, the passengers are forced to deal with extreme endurance as hunger pains drive them to insanity and hope slowly fades, watching as days turn into weeks while trapped in the mountains.
