Synopsis: The story of Shut In 2022 follows Jessica (Rainey Qualley), a young mother of two young children, as she prepares to sell her grandfather’s house after his death. Soon, she is locked inside a pantry by her violent, drug-addicted ex-boyfriend Rob (Jake Horowitz) and she must find a way not only to escape but to protect her children from the growing danger. In her struggle to be serious about her children, we meet her ex-boyfriend Rob, played by Jake Horowitz, a completely disliked man trying to bring his family back in the worst possible way. Our third major player in this story is Sammy, played by Vincent Gallo, and when you meet Sammy your dislike for Rob immediately doubles. He is a supporter of Rob and an accomplice in the crime, and in a tragic revelation about his past, he describes himself as a real threat to Jessica and her daughters. Vincent Gallo is brilliant in this role; He is a real villain who is easily trusted and even someone with whom many people have crossed paths at some point in their lives. The three actors do a great job, and I can’t wait to see more of each of them. I hope Daily Wirework works with them again.
