Synopsis: Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, who plays the role of Zuko’s uncle Iroh, a former Fire General, is an incredibly entertaining character in the series. In the initial episodes, he has a constant obsession with food and acts as a caring guardian to Zuko. However, it is disappointing that the writers abandon the food jokes and diminish Iroh’s gastronomic personality in the latter half of the series. The show takes on a much more serious tone than necessary for an action-fantasy series targeted at a younger audience. Daniel Dae Kim portrays Zuko’s father, Fire Lord Ozai, and perfectly embodies the appearance of an intimidating, evil, power-hungry king who seeks to eliminate entire clans. Besides being tyrannical, Ozai is also a manipulative father who pits his children against each other, adding another layer of complexity to Zuko’s story. While Zuko is in pursuit of the Avatar, his sister Azula (Elizabeth Yu) is preparing to seize the throne.
