Synopsis: The lasagna, the naps, the scale, the smiling Odie, the resigned and trusting Jon, Jon’s platonic love, and the hatred of Mondays are all there… but they are only noticeable in the opening scenes. Mark Dindal’s film, known for directing ‘Chicken Little’, aims to shake Garfield out of his usual routine, pushing him out of his comfort zone. It’s commendable to see the effort put into exploring the character beyond his everyday antics. The movie starts by showing Garfield as a kitten and then delves into his origins. At one point, it almost feels like Garfield meets Mr. Cat. From living a pampered life to being part of a street gang, Garfield’s journey takes a bizarre turn as he, along with Odie, must save the city from a storm.
