Synopsis: The Exorcist: Believer is an excellent film that is so full of interesting concepts and well-developed characters that you’ll find yourself wondering what may have been. David Gordon Green, who most recently helmed “Halloween,” is the director and co-writer. It centres on the simultaneous possession of two young girls and the harmonious convergence of parents and priests in an attempt to rescue them from evil, and it is followed by three sequels. Possibly the only “Exorcist” sequel since the incredibly amazing “Exorcist II: The Heretic” from 1977, this one manages to maintain the sense of the supernatural that drove William Friedkin’s first film in the series to success.
