Synopsis: Natalie (Lili Reinhart) shows Lucy (Nia Long) her portfolio, and she receives harsh criticism that her work is unoriginal. She pushes him to go in order to discover his voice, and he does so. She feels like a failure as she goes home after a friend’s baby shower with Cara (Aisha Dee). Natalie is a successful businesswoman in both universes. She gets invited to the South by Southwest Film Festival, where she appears on a panel of creators, including Lucy, in one world and has her short film screened in another. Natalie watches Gabe’s (Danny Ramirez) band in a bar in one universe and decides to join him five years later. Later, Natalie is startled that Jake (David Corenswet), despite jeopardizing his position in the feature, has traveled to see her short film. Natalie’s artwork is noticed by Lucy, who asks her to visit when she returns to Los Angeles. Natalie and Rosie (Jacqueline Seaman) are also watching Gabe’s band perform at a pub in another scene. Later, she questions him about Miranda’s (Amanda Knapic) absence from the concert. Gabe informs her that the engagement has been called off because he loves her more than Miranda. As they wander through the streets, Jake and Natalie are unified in one universe. Gabe and Natalie have a serious chat about how they want to build their relationship with other. When each couple goes by Natalie’s sorority home, where she took a pregnancy test, the two worlds collide. Natalie comes into the bathroom, looks in the mirror, and tells herself that everything is OK.
