Synopsis: A series of flashbacks show Abigail (Dianna Agron)’s upbringing. Currently, Abigail is a divorced mother of two. An expert recommends that he hire a caregiver for his parents, Barbara (Candice Bergen) and Eugene (Dustin Hoffman), when the latter loses the ability to walk. Another doctor puts Eugene on hospice and says he has six months to live, leaving Barbara (Candice Bergen) devastated. Abigail visited her brother Nathan (Simon Helberg). Nathan talks to Eugene but refuses to meet Barbara. Abigail starts dating a gardener named Jay. Eugene confesses his love for Barbara before dying a few days later. Abigail and Barbara attend his funeral but Nathan is emotionally unavailable. Abigail argues with Nathan for leaving her alone during this emotional time.
